25 years after his first concert in Budapest, Spanish pop star Julio Iglesias visited our capitol yesterday in his current tour.
We heard that he is not any easy person, might be difficult to get his autograph. By the early 21st century Iglesias had sold hundreds of millions of albums in more than a dozen languages. He has sold over 300 million records worldwide in 14 languages and released 77 albums.According to Sony Music Entertainment, he is one of the top 15 best-selling music artists in history. Yesterday - we have had luck. After the concert we started to wait at his hotel. We knew that in the same time the Spanish football team plays semi final against Portugal in the UEFA EURO 2012 event. Iglesias is very connected to football, because as a young guy he was goalkeeper in the Real Madrid. We knew too, that after his show he surely will watch the match in his room at the stadium, he will not come back to the hotel. Evereyone was happy as we have seen the victory of Spain, so we believed that Mr. Iglesias will be kind and will be in good mood. And it was so. Around midnight his cars arrived to the hotel, he recognized our Real Madrid shirts and flags and showed to the driver to stop. Opened the window and with his unique smile signed every material for everyone, posed for photographs. "Wow, Real Madrid, it's my team!" - as he told while signing. Finally he waved to us from the car during going down to the garage
It was a very impressive night with a uniqe experience from this great star - thank you, Spanish Football Team :))
