Collecting autographs at F1 Grand Prix at Monaco 2013
All in all it was tough to collect autographs at Monaco this year. There are more and more professional collectors who make the drivers angry. They are not experienced without any good behavior. So it is normal that difficult drivers behave stressed and unlikely…
Sebastian Vettel:
Seb wrote less than the years before. First of all he was shuttled into the paddock by car without singing anything. In general he was difficult to obtain, because he was always in a hurry and very hectically. The number if autographs received was low.
Webber: No comment.
Alonso:
As always Fernando wasn’t easy to collect. On the one hand there were many situations in which he signed nothing, on the other hand he signed up to 2 autographs. Sometimes he laughed at the fans while he was making jokes with his girl friend. But then he wasn’t signing at all.
Massa:
Felipe was signing less and ugly. When he was leaving the paddock he only signed his short version. At the end I stopped collecting him, because he damaged the photographs with his signature.
Button:
Jenson was the only star driver who was friendly und trying to sign much autographs. Regretfully I was not easy to meet him often. Sometimes he was changing the entrances to the paddock.
Perez:
In contrast to Barcelona he was writing OK. As one of the only drivers he met the fans at the paddock fence to sign autographs.
Räikkönen:
Kimi is like a phantom at Monaco. Meeting him is nearly impossible. The only chance to meet him is at the official F1 autographs session where is a strict and limited access. This was really challenging.
Grosjean:
Romain’s mind seems to be broken. He fails on and off the track. His behavior is strange and his autograph is hard to accept.
Rosberg:
Hamilton:
Hamilton:
Lewis refused to sign photographs most of the time. He signed many items like Caps, programmes, … He is very arrogant and unfriendly. 1 autograph in 5 days!
All in all the other drivers were OK to collect. Drivers like Hülkenberg, Sutil, Bottas, Bianchi and Chilton are very friendly. Especially Bottas is a very friendly guy who is still signing. But this will change! Di Resta was tough to get, Maldonado was friendly but signing ugly, Vergne and Ricciardo are not signing as much as in the past, Charles Pic has become arrogant and van der Garde was signing OK at the beginning but reduces signing trough the days.
The test and reserve drivers were absolutely OK to collect.
Former drivers like Hill refused signing, Keke Rosberg only singed one autograph per meeting. Even Brundle and Stewart weren’t writing much. Prost and Villeneuve were very kind and wrote much.
