All the Presidents’ Memorabilia
Jordan M. Wright’s collection of political memorabilia is unquestionably prodigious.

Consisting of perhaps a million-plus items, amassed over four decades, it includes an assortment of ephemera like a George W. Bush piñata and a portrait of Lincoln made of seed and saplings, but also legions of important historical artifacts, like a George Washington picture flag from his swearing in and a purse with a Warren G. Harding logo that was used to attract newly enfranchised female voters.

Saving Bosnia's past from the ashes
The interior of Sarajevo's Presidency building would make any historian wince. Not the decor itself - but the charred papers, piled against the walls.

This display of damaged documents stretches away down the ground floor corridors of the building, leaving dark smears on the white paint, leading to a heap of burned books, boxes and manuscripts in a stairwell.

NBA Global Games 2014 in Berlin
NBA Global Games 2014 in Berlin was great opportunity for basketball fans to obtain autographs from members of NBA Champions San Antonio Spurs. A game was planned on 8th October, but the team already arrived to Berlin on 5th October. I came to capitol of Germany 1 day later. It gave me more than a 2 days to collect.  Players, coaches and stuff stayed in The Ritz Carlton Hotel, well-situated in the city centre, not so far Grosser Tiergarten or Brandenburg Tor, what furthered to coming out of hotel.

FC Barcelona
FC Barcelona is one of the biggest football clubs in the whole world. The club sells souvenirs for thousands of Euro year after year and hits next sales records. It seems to me that original, received in-person autograph could be better and more valuable item than next scarf or t-shirt. This is why so much fans decide to go to FC Barcelona training ground Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper in Sant Joan Despi. I was there several times and I did not regret at all even if I did not collect lots of signed photos.

Is The Bull Market Back At Baseball Card And Autograph Shows?
If you’ve read my other posts, you can tell that I really enjoy attending a good baseball card show to swap stories with other baseball history fans and revel in vintage tobacco and gum cards, But for the past year I have worried that these events are going the way of Sunday double-headers that were routine in the 1950s and 1960s.

Solving The Mystery Of A Family Letter 'Signed' By Babe Ruth
Almost every weekday morning, one of my new friends at the wonderful coffee house where I do a lot of my work, the Brooklyn Commune in my Windsor Terrace neighborhood, folds his New York Times up in a small square to work on the crossword puzzle. We talk current baseball— both of us are long-suffering Mets fans— and baseball history.

From Sharon to Farrah - May 98
A few days ago, we started watching out for Sharon Stone, as the media managed to convince us that she would be at Cannes. While this euphoria-ridden period tends to swarm with rumors, Sharon's coming no longer was one. But hearsay abounds : she's here, she'll be here tomorrow, she's coming today, she's taking a car at the airfield, she's landing at Mandelieu, we'll see her, we won't…

Steven Spielberg
When I have heard that Steven Spielberg comes to my city I was deeply excited. I thought about a chance to get one of the best autograph in my collection. Spielberg has shoot scenes here in Wroclaw  to his new movie called 'St. James Place'. Basically, sets were located in Berlin and Potsdam, but a crew planned to visiting Poland for a few days. Additionally, local media spread rumors about Tom Hanks, Janusz Kaminski or Sebastian Koch are coming as well. Finally, in the middle of November, here they come.

Lee Israel, a Writer Proudest of Her Literary Forgeries, Dies at 75
In a rented storage locker on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the writer Lee Israel kept a cache of antique typewriters: Remingtons and Royals, Adlers and Olympias. Each was tenderly curated, hung with a tag whose carefully lettered names — Edna, Dorothy, Noël, Eugene O’Neill, Hellman, Bogart, Louise Brooks — hinted at the felonious intimacy for which the machines were used.
